Servicing interval

May I know the service interval for W204? Is it 10k or 15k?

ya recommended to do at 10k to prevent slugging in Engine ....But can drag to 15k....for me I do 8.5-9k interval.....

15k. although some, like me, does intervals at 7-8k (at outside workshops) to keep the oil clean.

tyre rotation 10k is fine. dun rotate if tyres are staggered! =P

My previous W203 services were done every 15 to 17k for 8 years without any hiccup from engine. It's proven you don't need to waste money by shortening the interval.

That's was my experience too :-). Called them to double check they said is best to do at 10k, but 15k is fine too.....

Staggered tyres can rotate left with right provided they are not uni-directional.

front and rear tyres are different sizes so cannot be rotated unless like what odessus has mentioned.

Staggered tyres can rotate left with right provided they are not uni-directional.

Arrow on tyre will hint at whether can swap sides or must stay on the same side.

bro u meant sludge?

if we drain out the oil, sludge should also flow out right? or it would get stuck inside the engine?

Sludge is solid and hard form a example is this way.

 

 

It require many long hours of picking, scrapping and such to remove them.

 

Thus it is best to stick to manufacturer guideline of engine oil change interval.

 

Sludge will also cause engine to stall, Not able to start up and such. Overall it is said to kill your engine. The cost to remove the sludge is very expensive, easily $2-4k

Does the duration count? As in, 10000km or 6 months, whichever is earlier?

 

I clock around 10k km per year, and always service my cars every 6 months.
