Blackvue DR380

Recommended Posts

The reason I found out mine was fogged was because I wanted to retrieve a video from it but instead, the entire video was so blur to the point it was useless. IMHO, I'm still quite skeptical about BV's reliability. It'll mean constant checks and maintenance to see if the lens is fogged. It'll just be a white elephant attached to the windscreen if when you need to extract a video, it's blurred. Defeats the purpose of having a DVR in the car.

Correct analysis ... but self cleaning save some $$$ ... will monitor it for a while ... see how long it can last ...

Hey guys.. I just bought and installed my itb100HD at soundwerkz. Located at sing ming. Very nice boss there. Let them know you from SGMERC forum and u get a discount to a total price of $428 (including installation). very happy with the video quality. Feel like installing the power magic for another $60.

Anyways thought this might be helpful =]

Hi

Did anyone tried the Blackvue DR500GW? Does it have the same issue like the DR380?

Thanks in advance

I'm using the DR500 for the past 5 months. No problems so far. Only thing is once in a while.... a lady will tell you that your blackvue is shutting down but it with start up itself back. Haaa....

my DR380 record in mono chrome screen (purple) for a while without my knowledge after it was installed for 3 motnhs  .. only can see purple screen and hear voice ... I recommend periodic viewing of the recording to ensure the cam is working ok else in the moment of need, it may not capture anything at all ... my 2 cents ...

BTW i switched to itronic ... Got it yesterday, gonna diy today ...

Can't recall exact amount. But I paid around $650 - including installation and powermagic pro. Its more expensive, but I had requested the dealer to come over to my place for site installation. I no time to go down to their workshop.

Hey guys,

I also have the same whitish image problem.munfortunately, when I tried to unscrew the screws, one of them stripped and it's now stuck. Anyone has any solutions for this? Thanks.

Appreciate any advice as I'm a super non-technical person:(
