Potential group buy - Kleeman K-Box

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

i found out there is an authorized Kleeman dealer and installer in Malaysia KL and i had exchanged email with their MD Mr. Imbacher seeking their advise on the Kleeman k-box kit (http://shop.kleemann.dk/shop/k-box-kit-for-318p.html) for 1.6L and 1.8L Kompressor (W204) and if they can get 5 cars to do this, they would send a specialist here to SG to install.

The quoted price is 4,800 ringgits all in, that would be about S$1,990. From the above link you can see the box costs is about 800 EUR so the pricing felt a little premium but if interest is at least 5 cars, then perhaps can bargain down to say 4500 ringgits (open to comments).

(please add on if there is interest)

The dealer is from German Motors Sdn Bhd, http://www.mygermanmotors.com

I guess since they are the authorized dealer for Kleeman (http://www.kleemann.dk/Frontpage) so product is not just limited to this K-box so if there is other interest please list it below too.

Other Kleeman product interest:

1. Product name/ car model/ engine/ your name

I believe someone did ask before but doubt anyone has install. As for the gain I am happy to just get a 10% gain cos most tuning house will advert max gain which may not be realistic.

Maybe good if this install (if it happens) be done at a workshop with a dyno. At least can have one car do a base run and after install run to see the gain.

Just to add the 143 horses is actually for the older W203 1.8L Kompressor so it is not a new product but just that they now advertise to work with our newer 1.6L engine.

IMHO, gains should all be thereabouts. For kompressor (supercharged) models, there's a limit to what performance can be obtained via software. Paying RM4500 to RM4800 is really a premium. My MKB is locally bought, installed, and warrantied, and is cheaper compared to the GB.

Yeah bro but MKB is for cgi only. Anyway if by end of week no interest then it's ok too. Checking interest only.

MKB has piggybacks for Kompressor engines. There are a few people in the forum who are on it too. Doing a search for MKB piggybacks in the forum will bring you some results. For one, Solar has posted a direct link to a thread I created on my experience with MKB.

Hmmm strange I contacted BL but they say cannot. They are now pushing another box by Exclusive Motors although their website didn't say anything about 1.6L engine. Anyway thanks for the information.
