Saw this manual 124 for sale. Thinking of going for a test drive. always wanted a manual merc. anyone here had experience driving a manual 124?

if i can remember its only 4 speed! but can say it can be a bit fun to drive..

hmmm this car had been FL to 94/95 but use GEN 1 AMG front bumper and sides skirts!

I drove a manual W123 right after I got my license. Best training car ever. Moves like a slug but the gearbox was tight n smooth in engaging! We had that car for 22 years before we decided to give it up. Freakin tank. I think you'll find the W124 moves off slightly quicker but the gearbox should give you the same level of assurance of build quality.

My dad had an old w123 '78 model when i was growing up. he sold it when i was 12 but i still got the chance to drive it once. still remember the solidness of the gears as g8crasher said. really miss that car. might go down to test this w124 on sale. but no intention to buy. its an 86 car so its carb. plus with its age i think it might give quite a bit of probs.
