Cabrio retractable roof

Checked out a resale E cabrio earlier.

1. When it open up, there is loud "clap" at the last part. Dealer said its usual... I am worried it isn't.

2. Any cabro owners have leaking problem during a heavy rain?

Anyone here with a cabrio can confirm?

Am still considering whether to get a E cabio now... or wait until end 2013 for the facelift.

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

The clap sound is by the flap? If yes is okay. No rain seepage during my 8 months of ownership.

Yes, I think its the flap. The "clap" sounded alarming and unusual.

Was just wondering, with Singapore kind of weather, how often do cabrio owners bring down the roof?

Think I am inclined to wait for the facelift, unless the E cabrio dealer wanna clear stock via a irresistible lelong. Dealer keep saying they are making huge losses on most of their cars, somehow I doubt so... even if they really do lose, its their own business model that may have gone wrong... ie I suspect those who are bleeding not only stocked up heavily, they held the prices high waiting for the perfect buyer. Thats a strange business model coz cars are depreciating assets and are by no means easy to sell.
