Does Merc have some sort of chonic issue like other brand?

Hi Big Bro, Big Sis and Seniors,

In all due respect, I do not come here to challenge the Merc made product but to understand more about it.

 

As I am very new to conti car, as well as new to Merc.

I am very temp by the new A200 as the COE is on the high side; I am doing some research to understand a little more about Merc.

 

As some may know, There are other brands that come with some nasty issue like gearbox etc etc…

I am wondering does Merc make come with such challenges. . and any other area that one should be aware or be careful about for Merc made product.

it's new, with a new gearbox. nobody knows.

Joking only lah... went to see the A class also. Sweet, with attention assist, collision prevention assist, seat confort package with memory function, etc. as standard equipment.

 

Go for the A250 sport instead, the bodykit with diamond grill, reversing camera and 18" sport rims are great and it look so much sportier.

Well, i was bite by some brand that has this gearbox problem, and i have to leave my ride now in the wrokshop for 3weeks, due to piston crash... :(    very sad story, just 2 years old...

 

True that A200 is rather too new for comments, but in general, does Merc has some techcnial challenges, in whcih personally do not have much heard of it, that is why, i am posting the questoin here

You are right that your next car will be another Merc. I am into my third Mercedes-Benz now since my first A-class in year 2000.

Got very big prob with Merc.... Every time the needle touches E (enough I think) the car stalls on me.....and this happens so very often......

Spoon feeding teaches you nothing....but the shape of the spoon...

Besides that, it's a good car to drive....

 

Stamp hard on your floorboard, break a hole through it and you can do flintstone driving. no more worries about the needle touching E.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

i seriously think there is...people have this impression that merc owners are hao lian.

I totally agree....but when they get to know us....they will think Merc drivers are Bo Liao and Siao....

I drive Mercedes for more than 20 years, presently driving a V221 S300L, You don't get any serious problems with the car. The only problem you will encounter is with the service at C&C. Too slow and too expensive and super long queue. If need servicing, go pandan branch, the service reps there are more pro.
