Viseeo MO-S1-B Bluetooth adapter for E200K (W211)

Just want to share with everyone my experience on the above installation.

I had the Viseeo MO-S1-B installed at Max's workshop for S$800.

http://www.viseeo.com/ugC_ShowroomItem_Detail.asp?hidPage1=2&hidShowID=35&hidClickNum=Y

The unit worked as the ad claimed, except for these major issues:

1. the steering wheel control button does not work at all.  Viseeo HQ in Taiwan now claimed that I need to go back to MB and get them to do the new coding.  I called MB @ Alexandra and was told there is no such thing at all.  I get the feeling I was short changed by Viseeo based on their misleading ad.

2. can’t stream music from my iPhone 4, as the port to be used is the same as the CD changer, hence either have to give up the CD changer or accept the fact that music can’t be streamed from the phone.

3. the phone book uploading takes forever (and I only have 50 contacts), until today, it still shows uploading...... hence I can't use the ABC index.

4. the adapter works only occasionally, since installing it 4 days ago, I have to do a master reset 3 times!

To be fair, Max's service was very good, he even offered to take out the adapter and refund me the full amount, which I declined, I felt good just by hearing his offer, this guy is sincere.

So now I can use the bluetooth phone feature in the car (sometime only, when I’m lucky) but not the steering wheel buttons.

For bros who want to install this adapter in their MB, please please be aware of these issues.

Conclusion, I think I bought myself a lemon.

Hi bro,  the Taiwan office advised that I have to get the 'Phone' option turned on with Star Diagnosis in the Instrument Cluster settings section of the diagnosis tool.  I contacted MB and they don't offer such services.

Any bro who can do this and how much would it cost?  Many thanks.

Now I can use the "answer" and "hang up" buttons on the steering wheel, I'm a very happy man today  :thumbsu:

Thanks to all! I went to Chip Soon yesterday to enable the steering phone buttons. It's working now. Cheers!

Great, let's spread the word around, as there are many bros whose steering wheel buttons do not work, and I like Daniel friendly services.

Hi Randy, but my MFD now flags the "TeleAid Inopeartive" error message each time I start the car.  Is this happen to your car too?

TeleAid feature is not available in our country, it should be turned off since the day C&C delivered the car.  I can't figure out as to why this feature was enabled when the workshop re-code the "phone" as present.  I found a guide posted in overseas MB forum on how to turn off the TeleAid (from present to not present) by using the Star Daignostic System.  I am planning to visit Daniel again to find out if he can give it a try.  Cheers!

Hi, yup, I have the same error message.  Daniel told me this can't be turned off and I just have to live with it :(

Pls let me know if he could disable it for you, thanks bro.

Are phone info shown in the instrument cluster?

If it does, this BT is good as the Fiscon Pro.

Cheers

  • 1 year later...

Hi,

It has been 1 yr 6 months and the adapter is working fine (glad to report).

Question - I now have the budget (after many months of bread and water only) to install a head unit over the factory fitted one.

I just need (i) built in GPS, can be updated type, (ii) hook up to my existing rear camera, and (iii) able to connect to USB drive (to play mp3 files), and controllable by the steering wheel buttons.  No other functions needed.

Any recommendation?  Thanks in advance.
