3M K-520 Primer Adhesion Promoter

Anyone with experience with the above product?

Bought a spoiler and the package came with 3M tapes and this adhesion promoter. Suppose to apply a coating onto the boot surface before sticking the spoiler on with tapes.

My concern is whether it will cause damage to the paintwork should I remove the spoiler in the future. Any opinion on this appreciated, thanks

If you are using tape then it would not cause damage to paint but you must be careful when removing the spoiler in the future. More importantly is to secure the spoiler wellso it does't drop off.

FYI, I used something similar when I installed my spoiler....what I was told is that this chemical is supposed to clear out any inpurities that might be on that portion of the paint and it is supposed to help the tape stick better onto the surface.

I have not remove my spoiler before so I too am not sure if the paint is damaged.

But my mech told me will not damage paint work.....hope this helps....
