Soft doot doot sound in cabin

Hi guys, can I check if you all know or encounter (touchwood) a soft doot doot sound problem inside your cabin before. It's unlike bro davidaffy doot doot problem, which can be heard outside. Mine is very soft, you have to strain your ear to notice it, but I'm unable to trace the source. Its quite disturbing as it shouldn't happen.

Asked my SA but was asked to monitor the source instead....Btw, mine is a w204 c180. Doot doot sound problem kicked in this week, after 9mths of driving. Appreciate your advices. Thks thks!

My 180K FL have this problem before, checked everything, finally isolated the sound to come from the boot. Took out everything from the boot and the sound is same there. Finally, one day I accidentally found the source of the noise. When I knocked on the boot panel (the one the emergency triangle is secured to), there is a clear tock tock sound, similar to what I have heard when driving. One close inspection, found two of the the boot panel securing plastic studs have came loose and with the weight of the emergency triangle weighting on the panel, the panel will knock the boot as the car moves. I replaced all the plastic studs and remove the emergency triangle from the panel, the noise have disappeared. Just sharing this experience, hope it helps. cheers

Thanks all for sharing the experiences. CD player is working fine. All baby lullaby CD actually. Haha. My doot doot sound is actually a digital audio alert, similar to the keypad sound of safe. But irregular... Shall monitor and share the cause and solution later on. :) thks!

I think I found the source of my doot sound. Apparently it only takes place when I am listening to Kiss 92 FM. Funny as it sounds, but the other channels are ok..... Dun know what to say about this.

Maybe your car do not like Kiss 92. From your description, your problem is probably electromagnetic interference caused by some other equipment in the car operating at a frequency very close to VHF 92 Mhz. Nothing much u can do about it, unless u can isolate and change the frequency band of the equipment interfering with the radio.

Meanwhile, try listening to YES 933 instead... the most popular number 1 radio station...
