Got caught speeding over 40km/h

Hey guys,

 

I recieved a TP letter a while back stating I had exceeded the speed limit by 40km/h up to 50km/h.

I think I was doing 118km/h on a 70km/h zone that day :/

 

Anyway, the letter came in and only stated that I have accrued 12 demerit points but $0 fine!

 

I asked around and was told that I have to attend court or something.

Anyone know how it's going to work out?

Based on my personal and all my speedy Gonzales friends, 40k above will have to go sub court.... Usually will be fine $800 with suspension of 3month...... Usually from the date you surrender your license

Either bring enough cash with you or better still bring a friend. If you can't pay the fine they lock you up till someone does.

Oh another thing - if you are guilty just admit the charge. Don't try telling any stories. The magistrate may just decide to reward you with a higher penalty for wasting the court's time.

Didn't get suspended, not sure how, but only recieve fines+points of ..18?

My friend waited for 12 bloody months before the letter came

1st time suspension is 3 mth. Attend a 1 day driving course, reduce from 3 mth to 1 mth. Better still can credit the 1 mth.

Bro, from understanding from TP, if court issue 3 month suspension, cannot take course... Course is only for those whose 24pts all gone Liao than can... Something like that....

Personal experience...exceeded by 54 km/hr...12 points and $500. But that was many donkey years back and i was really fortunate for not getting a suspension. Guess market rate diff now haha..

Friend of mine kenah about 6 months ago, 90 in a 50 zone, 12 pts +1k fine from sub court. Doesn't seem like there is a fixed formula, but I think they also look at your record..

Kenna suspension can also ask Court if can waive HDB carpark for 3 months!!!!!HAHAHAHAHA
