Stream Iphone via Bluetooth

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Getting my C180 7G in Dec (hopefully). I wanted to check if it is possible to stream music from the iphone to the Audio 2.0 via bluetooth. I'm no audiophile, so I prefer bluetooth to using an AUX input, which requires plugging cables in and out.

Any other solutions?

Thanks.

If I am not wrong, you can either use Bluetooth for music or mobile but not both, true?

I plug my iPod touch permanently and use Bluetooth for mobile.

You can actually connect one device to both functions at the same time. Works on Comand, when any calls come it the music fades away and phone starts to ring. Can't remember if it's supported for Audio 20 though but I don't see why both functions can't be supported at the same time on one device.

For Pre-FL W204, I believe you need an additional Media Interface Module to be installed. Do contact our Comand specialist ricric_lo or camber53. They'll be in a better position to advice you on that.

Is this a hardware or software installation?

Yes. For the Audio 2.0 in C180 7G, you can stream music from your iphone to it.

Establish the Bluetooth connection between your iphone and Audio 20. Press the Disc button on the left panel to toggle to Bluetooth Audio. Click on the Connect to Device. That's it.

Xaba, can you explain step by step how to do it ?

I have 2011 C class, with Command Online system, I have paired my iPhone with MB bluetooth system for calls, but I didn't know that I can use it, for streaming music.

Thanks for your help in advance

IIRC - Press Disc - Go to Media - Look for Bluetooth - add your phone.Once added, it will be an option just like your Disc, Music Register, USB, Memory Card, UCI, Bluetooth. Tried it out today on my W204 COMAND On-line. It works!!!

Cheers

I'm a MB Whore! :)
