Help my W211 NGT got this error ?

Hi expert, went to topup my W211 NGT at Toh Tuck few days ago.

Afterthat keep getting ON/OFF alert on "Reserve Tank" <But tank is FULL>.

Today got this error and cannot switch to NGT Mode anymore.

Anyone knows how to reset this ?

i am driving a '06 NGT and sometimes when I switch to petrol in between, I will get message to visit workshop as CNG is not functiong. CNC will tell you to leave the car for 2 days as they will take time to check. What I did was ask my workshop outside to do a 'reset' and everything works.

I think a 'reset' of the system like what is done every service may help to solve your issue. Hope that helps.

I went to People recovery in UBI and as a regular customer it was FOC. i think the sponser workshop in this forum can do it for you probably much cheaper than CNC as it is just reseting the system.

Opps, after 1 week, the same error is happening again !

Made an appt with C&C to check this time and got a shock from them.

They said that CNG regulator spoilt and needs to change, will cost $2K and 4 weeks to repair !

To release CNG will cost $500 !

Wah ! Sword very sharp.

Looks like got to go back Auto Spritze again for reset.

Hi TanWill, I am driving a NGT too. Can you share what tips Ah Heng gave for CNG and grade of Petrol you mentioned earlier?.

Hi, its quite simple.

Basically Ah inform not to use the CNG so offen, OK for light cruising.

For petrol, its better to use the 98 over 95.

In Malaysia, use 97 only.

*incidentaly, i have also checked with C&C.

Although the M271 200 Kompressor is OK with 95, they too suggest the higher Octane.

One more thing is that it is better to use cng or petrol and not switch in between, it use to have this message now and then. Once I practise using one or the other, I do not face this problem anymore. My 2 cents worth.

Hi TRMAN, can People Recovery source a NGT gas regulator for replacement ? <wonder how much it will cost too?>.

AutoSpritze informed they're not into CNG repair, suggest me to go back CNC...... to get CHOP .....sigh.

2nd time reset only lasted 2 days and than revert back to same error code.

Seems the scantools indicate the NGT Gas regulator fault.

Hi all

Just bought a e200 ngt. I have the same problem of error code stating to go workshop.

And I can't drive with the cng and causing the engine to stop.

Worried after resetting the issue will remain. It will cost a big bomb to Repair. If I just use the petrol alone. Will it effect other parts to be spoilt?

Sorry to dig out this old thread.

 

If we stop using CNG, the car will have problem going into JB due to 3/4 tank CNG rule.

 

Will the sg-custom-officer accept excuses like ...."I only use petrol now because my car unable to operate on CNG, that's why my  cng tank is empty".

 

Anyway, Sg car also cannot top-up cng in JB, don't know why Custom Office come out with this rules?
