Intake Camshaft Adjuster & Key Lock Issue

Hi all,

 

I am driving a 2010 pre-FL W204. Recently my car has difficulty cranking and the Engine Check Light came up. I sent into C&C and it was diagnosed with timing gear intake camshaft adjuster issue. They also detected the steering key lock or 'green key' issue as well.

 

The cost of repairing with C&C is erm...kinda high... =(

 

I am enquiring if these are easy fix in which outside workshops are able to do? And any recommended ones?

Green key issue is better to let cnc to do it as the cost is cheaper. Go to other ws to check out the pricing.

Key issue C&C charge S$1500, i think is the most cheapest in the market so far, unless you are own a parallel import car.

Hi all,

I'm driving W212 YOM 2011 7G Tronic. Today was advise my Cam Shaft Adjuster need to change, Inlet n a outlet and also Both Center Valve.

Anyone know of a workshop to repair?
