Replacing the pedals in w204

Recommended Posts

I am having thoughts of replacing the pedals on my w204. So I explored if the original rubber cover can be removed.

I managed to remove the rubber cover for the brakes.  However, I sure got stuck at the gas pedal.

For the gas pedal, do i need to remove the whole assembly to change the cover or can I just slide the cover off ?  I tried but gave up.  Any tips ?

Thanks in advance.  Any advice please

Cheers

Whoa STOP! The gas pedal is a unit. If you want to change it to one with those aluminum pedals most kits just screw onto the stock pedal. Also if you just go and buy the SMG/Sport version, you can simply replace the entire unit without cutting anything.

There are 3 types of pedal set in the market. The original one AMG type require to remove the entire accelerator unit. Those screw or bolts on and slip on type not require.

no lei...For W204 the accelerator pedal just remove original rubber and replace with original MB sport pedals... No need to replace entire accelerator unit

I disagree, the OEM AMG/Sport is a complete plug in unit. it's 2 bolts and unplug the harness to swap. Why create extra work for yourself by cutting anything, or better question, why not just do it the correct way? Just to clarify, this is the OEM unit I'm talking about.
