Power steering noise when lock to left or right

Hi all,

I am new to this forum, looking for any kind souls to provide useful feedback on my current problem:

Model: W211 E200K Elegance (PI)

Year: 2009

Mileage: 70,000km

Symptom: Noise (whizzing, squeaking or rattling - just do not know the right way to describe it) when steering is turned/locked left or right during parking or when station. During driving all is well and normal.

Observation: The power steering fliud is red color, fluid level is ok (both during cold and hot). I read some other forums which claimed that they were able to fix the issue by changing the fluid to Pentosin CHF 11s (green in color).

Questions:

1. What is your comment and recommendation

2. What is the correct fluid? Is yours red in color as well?

3. Could that be other problems not associated to the power steering?

Thank you

L Lee
