Bonnet fin - stick on type

Recommended Posts

I agree with what Jon said. Best is to make a mold and cast the whole bonnet. Would cost substantially more buy everyone's bonnet will be the same and looks perfect. This is an interesting alternative but I'm holding back on this one.

Stick then spray the whole bonnet will have crack line on the joining part as time goes by due to heat and sun. BM checked with spray painter before.

Yes, stick on easy method will have a gap but I wan to know how ugly u think the gap will be?

I Can't say how ugly it will be but definitely not acceptable by me becos it should look unnatural... Based on imagination..

I think it'll look like 2 mole hills across the plains! Undesirable & fugly frm pure imagination as of nw...

But if u mod successfully, then alot of dudes here will be happy to know too!

It's the AMG style bonnet! Highly desirable!

Bro, why not try using those powder (don't know what they call it) they use to patch up scratches to cover the gap?

I know can use putty, a clay like substance but will crack after sometime. Powder like substance I've not seen it before. Hmmm, ok will research more.

If you look closely to the new C63 (2012), it isn't as simple as adding two strips anymore. It actually curves outwards on the top and flushes with the rest of the bonnet. Design is much nicer!
