THE GUA MUSANG HIGHLANDS DRIVE

”featuring Cameron Highlands, Tasek Kenyir and fabulous East Coast Terengganu…”

Presented by Tourism Malaysia sponsored by Continental and Stamford Tyres

General information

This is an ideal long distance driving holiday for the entire family. The itinerary is suitable for both experienced and new drivers. The route is also simple and straightforward. We will also be among the first to do a group self drive holiday covering this extensive itinerary – from driving up to the Cameron Highlands and down again to the fabulous East Coast of Malaysia. The mountain drive from Gua Musang to Kuala Terengganu promises to be very scenic and exciting!

The itinerary is designed in such a way that all participants are able to feel the total freedom of a driving holiday and at the same time having the added advantage of an escorted group self drive holiday. Our marshals (whom we call Road Warriors) will lead us in a convoy fashion all the way there and back home. For those who would like to do things in a group, this is a dream come true.

There are several highlights along this route.

Cameron Highlands: This is the legendary highlands resort of Malaysia.

Dinner is done at the Country Lodge Hotel. We will be doing an authentic Cameron Highlands steamboat dinner. Cameron Highlands is famed for the ever popular steamboat cuisine.

The scenic mountain drive from Cameron Highlands through the Blue Valley to Gua Musang: The highway from Gua Musang to Kuala Terengganu is new. It is not officially launched yet. We are among the first to do a group self drive holiday here.

The enchanting Tasek Kenyir. We will stay one night at the beautiful brand new Lake Kenyir Resort and Spa.

The scenic coastal drive along the Terengganu coastline. This scenic drive is legendary. For dinner, we try the famous stuff crab at Kijal.

We will have one enchanting night at Awana Kijal Resort and Spa to unwind.

So come and join us on this exciting and exhilarating journey!!

We were rock solid 190 most of the time with occassion passing 200 over except for the pesky S class.

The only time we slowed down to 160 & below was at the tangkak exit, a car refused to give way..

We slowed down to 90km/h at 5km before exiting out of NSHW. After clearing Lima toll, we cruise 70km/h windows down to listen to my car's music...kekeke

if you guys had passed me u cldnt have missed us as I was flashing high beam like no tmr to clear the road. I am sure C35 enjoyed the cruise.
