W140 radiator replaced

just replaced a radiator S$800 (low sg stock) due to multiple small leakage damages, checked & noticed some leakages were damaged by small rocks/pebbles~ :startle: wonder if there is any way to prevent damage by hiding wire mesh behind front bonnet grills but not affecting air flow with this warm climate we have here~ :gym:

The radiator is designed to handle such impacts from small rocks/pebbles and other assorted debris. The change is due to age of the radiator which is a wear-and-tear item (although a very infrequent one). Did you change the radiator hoses as well since the rubber would probably be aged?
