How to display album art???

Recommended Posts

Ok, I think I got it, did some searching on the internet and tried it out on one album and it works. Do not have time to do it for all my albums, but generally the information I got from the internet is quite accurate...just to share, for bros who are interested,...

Generally, the car firstly tries to find cover art from the internal HDD, if it can't find it there it tries to get it off your iPod. But sometimes can sometimes cannot. The sure way of doing this is ;

1. In itunes made sure all cover art was 500 x 500 pixels and 100kb or less. To do this in iTunes highlight all the songs in the album - select 'get info', then the artwork tab and drag the picture to the desktop - right click and select 'properties' - if you need to, open it and edit to get right size.

2. Then delete the original cover art off each song and replace it with the new edited one. You can also drag the edited album art to replace the old one. Take the opportunity to also converted the id3 tags for each track to v2.4 (which is the latest id3 version) within iTunes to make sure the new artwork was associated with each song. (There were some who believe that v2.3 is more stable, but hack, since v2.4 is the latest, just update it)

2. Copy your iTunes library to an external HDD or a USB drive.

3. Connect the USB /external HDD to your car.

4. In the options choose the device you've attached, then, search by cover

You will then be asked to copy the covers, say yes to this.

5. Remove the USB / HDD and select the songs you've just copied the artwork for on your iPod and the cover art should be there!
