Transferring Navigation Info to Comand

Hi guys,

I've been using a portable Garmin for navigation on my previous ride.

The POIs in the Garmin are pretty good. I can find most shopping centers, food places, shops, postal codes etc.

Is there any way I can import these POIs from the Garmin to the Comand Online navigation system?

Not too sure abt COMAND NTG 4.5.

Unlike Garmin portable GPSr, U can key in co-ordinates & save it as your POI.

For the COMAND NTG 2.5 & 4.0, if I want to transfer the POIs from my Garmin, I take down those POI cot-ordinates.

In COMAND use search map with the + cross-hair till U get to the cor-ordinates, save it & name your POI there.

Know it's time consuming by no choice,

Even for transferring Garnin to Garmin, I use the key cor-ordinates function.

I had once before use Garmin Map Source software to do the transfer but it ended up corrupting the in-built software turning the Garmin into a brick

I bought the Garmin GPSMap 60CSx to log roads/POIs in Batam Island and send the tracks to the Indonesian mappers in Jakarta.

On my free time with an external antennae, I've tracked a thousands km of roads in Batam.

I am glad to see my contributions in the current Batam Maps!

Now the maps in Batam Island has being much improved and the Garmin unit had been sold to one of the MalSingMap Mappers to log tracks/roads in Sabah.

I paid >$1500 for the Nuvi 670 - that's how much it cost in old days.

In Sg, I use the COMAND Navi most of them if I need too.

Hi Bor,

We can offer map update but depends on whether you've got a dealer's car or import car. However, the latest S.E.A. Map V.4 not yet released. If your car comes with S.E.A. Map, the 1st Map installed should be S.E.A. Map V.3.

Will keep you informed as long as S.E.A. Map V.4 released for Comand NTG4.5.

Thus, If you have got a Comand NTG4 (W212 & W204 PFL), 2012 S.E.A. Map V.6 is availbale for update.
