C&C: Foul smell during acceleration is normal

Hi bro, after you send to cnc eunos workshop and tested with his fast and furious skill...what is the finding and did they slove the problem..many thanks

The SA told me it was the first time he encountered this problem. I was dumbfounded. Later in the day, he called me after consulting his workshop manager. According to this manager, the foul smell is normal. Again I was dumbfounded. This is why I went to C&C showroom to test-drive their C180K. To my surprise, the same problem ensued after some hard acceleration. I was dumbfounded once again. Now, I just feel dumb buying this car. Ha...ha...

Thought I was the only few withi this foul burnt smell issue. Is there really no way to get rid of it? I realised that it is getting worse as the car ages. At 110km/h the smell is so bad it chokes the driver and the passengers. :thumbsd:

Yes Yes!!! The smell gets stronger as the speed goes higher..ya when it hits 110km/h and above..

This smell seems to be characteristic of forced induction vehicles. I used to drive a turbo car and smell exactly the same on hard acceleration.

Perhaps it its the car design did not take into consideration of this issue when they intended to let "fresh" air in.

I read somewhere that sulphuric smell is an indication the catalytic converter is working fine. As the converter ages, the smell becomes less pronounced. I hope that's the case for my ride, which is 9 month-old.

I had this sulphuric smell before (when I change my original CAT to high flow cat)

my wife said is like urine smell.

but after I change back to original cat the smell is gone.

What car are you driving? It is true that it's normal to get the smell for A and B class when accelerated hard.

Confirmed is normal for B class. Stupid design to take in hot air from the engine compartment. I heard some owner seal up the air inlet vent and have it permanent on internal circulation. I like the idea too.

By the way, I am driving a C180K FL.........tested yesterday again, no more smell even past 120km/hr.....so far so good. There is probably a separate software module for the air-con and the foul smell is there only at 110km/hr and above.
