SLK 2011 LED Lights

From what i know, only the SLK class and the R class have LED lights that are purely DRL, meaning they switch on ONLY when your headlights are off, once your headlights turn on, instead of dimming like all the other new mercs, the LEDs go off.

Anyone rewired/modded their LEDs to have em auto dim down when the headlights are on instead?

My understanding is that the dimming of DRLs when headlights are switched on is a feature of ILS (Intelligent Lighting System) - an add-on option. This is not peculiar only to SLK and R classes. I may be wrong...
