Problems with Factory Fitted DVD player on E280.

I am experiencing problems playing DVD on my COMMANDS. Is it too senstive to pirated DVD ? Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesnt. Any advice or same experience here ? Thanks.

Mine also...apparently only original DVDs work well. Forget about the pirated ones, even the cheap originals from China won't work. I have given up watching DVDs on my Comand for a long while.

Remember not to put in those "thick pirated DVDs".

They might jam up your DVD player!

Even with Audio 20, my SE warned me not to put in pirated CDs as it will get jammed in the player. Any damages that occur because of that will not be covered under warranty.

I have got a several customers need help for the CD jam issues, even the original CD sometimes is too thick for the 6 Disc CD Changer with the Audio 20 especially for those CD with picture printed on the surface (nowsday most of the CD's has printed picture).

A stupid but effective way to aviod such issue happening is to copy your CD to CD-R or simply just ripped them into mp3 and than copied them over to the CD-R.

An effective but expesnive way to avoid such issue is to upgrade your Audio 20' to Comand or install the UCI, then you can just listen to the Music via Comand's harddisk storage or directly via the iPod through the connection with UCI. Of course, I'm pleased to help if you want to do the Comand upgrade

Advise - Buy original....lol....no lah, but u might want to install separate machine to watch the pirated or u end up paying more $$ fixing your command....
