Offset for AMG brakes

Hi anyone upgraded to 18" and installed AMG brakes ? My factory wheels are 17" with offset 38, all AMG wheels are either 45 or 48 so I think the wheels is going to tuck in and looks ugly, if I go for other brand of wheel what is the ideal offset for a flush look and clear AMG caliper ? No plan for bigger tyres, will stick to 245 or even downgrade to 235 if I can. Thanks in advance.

Whats your ride?

Do note that e AMG Brembos are really huge. Rim design and width plays an impt part.

Unless you are gg for original AMG thats tried and tested to fit, replicas might not even if they have the same offset.

As for flushing with e fender, alot depends on the width of your rims.

An offset of 45 with 8.5j would be as flush as the ET35 with 8j

Mine is a 07 W211, not even sure what is the stock rim offset, manual said 38 thou, must take out and see then decide the correct offset, yet it doesn't mean it'll fit AMG brakes, I think LL must buy rim / brake from one vendor, but AMG rims are ET48 ? Headache !

For w204, if using 8j, can go as far as ET35.

If 8.5j, ET45 is good.

The rear can go even go for even more aggressive offset, but usually ppl will just use 9.5j, retaining the same offset.
