I just got myself an preowned B180 today. Just wondering if B180 is using timing chain or belt? Hope to learn more about this car from this forum. Thanks in advance.

Welcome Accent!! Most conti car are usually on timing chain. But my landy on timing belt :).

Hi blackmercs, this for your reply. I think so too but need to double check cos I scared timing belt burst halfway as I bought secondhand.

I got a b170, 3 year old , 40k km. wonder when should I change my cvt oil? How many ltr should I buy ? Should I do it at 50k or 60k services? Thanks in advance

40K is the right interval for CVT fluid change. insist only on the original MB CVT fluid.

Go to a renowned MB car workshop for this effort - please do NOT go to a so called ATF specialist in Sin Ming because i had nasty encounters there before.

A full flush and drain will be around 5.7 litre and it will cost $10 per litre for the original fluid.

For 40K servicing, you should also change the gasket and filter which will set you back approximately $300-400 for the whole effort. Don't save the money ... make sure this is done!
