orange engine warning light

Hi bros, yesterday the orange warning light came on in my E200K.

I checked the manual and it says some electronic sensor failure.

This morning the light still on but the car is working fine.

Any experience with this?

Tks!

go for diagnosis. had the same problem too.

went to mechanic, on board computer return my car has too rich petrol mixture (petrol to air ratio) for combustion.

1.5 days later it went off. was told the car self-adjusted itself. no persistent warning light appear thereafter.

Its because the car has too rich petrol mixture (petrol to air ratio) for combustion. you will just need a reset for the computer .. Let me know if you need help ..

Is there anyway to reset without visiting the workshop? TIA

Hello Sir,

Been a while since we met (formerly lkh), your faulty MMI still with me

I had a few occasions where the engine icon lighted up, sent in to C&C and was told its due to petrol/air ration thingy.

It happens once when it was raining very heavily. I was told the exhaust area was too cold and the computer detected an imbalance. Anyway, it went off after a day.

Hahaha!

How are U?

God knows when I will take back the MMI from you :)

If you have not done performance mod on your ride, the CEL(Check Engine Light) should not be lighted up.

IMHO probably a fouled up MAP(Manifold Absolute Pressure) or Air Sensor.

Dun worry too much if it goes away after a short while. :) (your next drive)

So far so good, how's your kid?

Nope, mine is still as stock as day 1...except couple of stuff from you. Btw, any recommendation for tyres with your AMG rims? Its going botak soon.

If today's coe goes well, i might have a new ride 2 weeks later.

Kiddo fine! Congrats on your new Jag!

For tyres I always go for comfort & quiet!

IMHO The best is Bridgestone GR90 Comfort Premium Tyres!

Thanks, will probably go back to the TPY tyre shop that we last met.

BTW, i just noticed both front and rear tyres are of different sizes, is that standard for AMG rims?

Your AMG as usual are front and rear rims staggered (different width and wheel ET offset) thus the different front & rear tyres.

Cheers
