Hi

I am new to this forum. I just got my ride C200 CGI. Was interested in the Mercedes Rear Seat Entertainment System but the price is

I am looking for a reliable place where I can retrofit 2 monitors on my seats, may also be looking for a quality AMP/subwoofer to brighten my drive.

Please advise.

SK

A warm :welcome: to the forum!

Hope U will enjoy your stay with us and we look forward to see U at our events!

The original MB RSE comes in 2 variants.

1. Pre-wired and in conjunction with the COMAND HU

2. Standalone System with or without memory seats option.

CnC will not be able to retrofit Option 1 and luckily they are now able to do option2.

I guess I was the guy who "nudged" them to do such retrofits :becky:

They retrofitted my ML with variant 2 below.

Variant 1.

2 LCD monitors c/w a separate DVD player, 2 wireless headphones and a remote control.

I believe this variant has been taken out and now they provide instead option for docking 2 iPads on the back of the front seat headrests.

Previous Variant 1

Now - iPad for RSE

Variant 2 - Currently CnC will be able to retrofit this option which basically consist of 2 individual DVD Monitor/Player c/w 2 wireless headphones and a remote control.

For the current C Class this retrofit can be fitted only if U have memory seats option.

It allows individual monitor to play individual video source or both monitors playing the same source. It allows external Audio Video Input thru a 3.5mm jack/socket. With this U may want to input your car DVR or even a Dig TV. It also allows USB input too and also SD Card.

Yes! The retrofit from CnC for the RSE had made me crippled without arms & legs :pound:

I did some reading up, look around locally before I took the "deep plunge":becky:

I chose it cos I know exactly what I will be getting i.e the actual installation itself and the features that came with it.

The wireless headphone for eg. is only turn on when U put on the headphone and it turn off by itself when U take off from your head.

The LCD monitors power-off by itself when not in use or after U lock-up your car. The power source and a AV switch are all located inside of the front passenger seat. The Monitors are anchored to the inside of each front seat with brackets designed for the installation of RSE.

For after market, the range is far and wide depending on your budget and what you want.

Many Car Audio installers will able to fit a "RSE" for your C200cgi

They can be standalone Monitor/DVD player hook on to your front seat.

They can be ready made in-built headrest with monitor which might render your electric headrest to be no more working.

For passive sub with an amp or an active sub, most car audio installer should be able to do it for U.

If U want any recommendations, just PM me or call me 91777772.

U might also wanna check with our site sponsor camber53 for after market retrofit.

imho He has "tastefully" retrofit LCD monitor/player on his mum's W212 sedan.

If U want me to show U my CnC retrofitted RSE, U can gimme a call too.

I can also share the pricing with U!:becky:
