U mean these tires wont burst? But chances of these incidents for non run flat are rare.

When u drive at high speed ur tire burst u lose control, family dies. Dangerous.

But run flat tires save u cos it does not burst immediately.

In Singapore we only experience burst and can slow down. In Malaysia cannot.

Also how fast B-class can run except for Turbo version?

My B170 flat out struggle to reach 180 kmh , I am running with CSC3.

My previous Mazda 6 I whack it often to 190-220 kmh with Thai made Bridgestone tires never have any experience with burst. Only one thing I never do, driving car with Botak tires.

wah lao, even if tyres dun burst, there are one hundred and one things that can happen when u drive on the road.

the odds of tyres bursting at high speed (and I mean really high speed) is probably the same as a bus swerving into my lane and hitting me head on.

I've experienced on 2 occasions of tyre burst on my Prado

Both occcasions speed was <100 km/hr.

Both occasions managed to stop the car & safely pulled to the side of the road.

1st time was tyre > 2 years old - year of made - dunno

2nd time also tyre > 2 years old - year of made dunno

tyres get harden over time!

Amithaba!!!

Wow scary sia!! Care to share with us to manage it when this happens?? Mercedes experience didnt taught us how to react!!

Neber attended marcili experience! Maybe should ask them to include in the program next time!

Go find some used tyres that are 4 to 5 years old or older & put them on your Landy - try them out to find out how long or mileage will make them pom pak!

BTW One of my Aunty died on the old trunk road in MY cos the car driven by the son-in-law had 1 of the front tyre exploded. My Uncle in that same car was in a coma for many months.

imho - dun use tyres more than 3 years old. They tend to harden over time and tendency to burst due to heat & pressure.

Hmm... downside of run-flats is that u get a damn hard ride.. and already the B's ride is pretty hard (unless like me; u pump only 200kPa which makes it quite cushy)... I don't think tubeless tyres will suddenly puncture, they will slowly leak air, unless you rip it over a sharp rock or impact a kerb at high speed which dismounts the tyre seal. Only older tubed tyres (eg pickups & trucks) when punctured, will deflate suddenly...
