What should I look out for to buy a 20yr old merc

Dear all, newbie here. I want to get a ride and stumble upon the COE cars and saw a couple 20 yr old merc. It's quite a good bargain for that kind of price. So I hope to get some advise from the Lao jiaos here I use a 1991 200 E as a example, now selling for $30000 can use till 2019

1. Are the spare parts easily available?

2. How much will a normal servicing cost?

3. Fuel consumption is abt how much?

4. Where can I bring the car for check by a workshop before deciding to buy or not?

So far these are the few qn I can think of. I just need a ride that can start everyday with air con haha.
