Actually, what is the idea price you guys are looking at for let say C180k 1600cc?

Anybody got bought the car at $20 - $30k COE ? What is the price of the car?

Only with this data can we tell if there is any difference to buy now at COE $55k or later is COE is $30k.

But of cos there will be difference but my question is that is there a big difference....

The reason I post these question is that I have been looking around for almost a year and I finally booked it 2 weeks ago cos the COE never falls.

Moreover, C&C are giving away Command Online which is $9000.

I looked at this W204 for 4 years since launch in 2007 until face lift, until coe goes up, until cow comes home then I bought it 2 weeks ago. Long wait, and now still need to wait until next year for car!

This just my opinion since it's a fact that people who already own car die die as long as they can afford it will get a car or replace/renew COE when it expires. Also as long as property market still good premium marques will still going strong, lots of people driving big car now after they make good money from their property. If property goes to drain probably bread & butter car will rule again. But I still feel with 0.5% growth p.a. we will never ever see cheap COE anymore. My only consolation now is my B170 get good price, 3 years driving with almost no deprciation but my new C180k dep will be quite steep if I managed to get COE.

you should have taken the plunge a year ago... the list price of my C180 CGI was 163888... my CAT B COE was 43k...

today, 43k can't even get you a CAT A COE...

yep, could be/probably...

my point is, it's what you're paying for on the inside that matters...

Facelifted C180 Kompressor vs Pre-facelift C180 CGI...

the former is 1600cc supercharged, the latter is 1800cc turbocharged...

1 is CAT A COE, the other is CAT B COE...

would anyone have preferred to pay more for the former instead?

Yes, I agreed and I have also thought abt it. The reason I took the plunge is really the facelift + Command online + all the freebies.

Also, My 1.8cc car was also given a higher trade in price. So all in all, I felt that I didn't loose much with all of the above.

Moreover, was quoted the same price then for the old model.

Maybe it's also there is 101 excuse to change car. Hahaha...

Whatever it is, we will always find reasons to buy car.

My reason for buying my W203 were I needed a wedding car and my A-class got scratched.

This time purchase of W204 is my W203 is already 8 years old and the facelift model looks good.

Historically, I seem to change car at facelift stage. That's why I told my SE after signing that I will see her 8 years later:becky:
