Same here. I commute to work almost daily. Season parking at my office too ex. Or maybe I'm too cheap to pay for it...ha...ha...

Anyway, my job is desk-bound. See no point in driving to work, park the car from 8 to 5. Might as well let wifey drive. She's happy, I'm happier.

Rule of a happy marriage: When the wife is happy, the husband is happier. Ha..ha...

I drive partially :becky:. In the morning, I drive children to school first. Then wife will take over and drive to work and I take train near the school to work.

I'm actually given season parking at the office but under the sun. My wife works in Tanjong Pagar area and my office is in Changi North. Distance is around 25km apart. We did the sums, if wife drives, we saved 50km daily and the savings is enough to get her an indoor season parking in town and cover my public transport costs.:bounce:

No it is not a vampire car but I driinking it like one. Season parking is 100 for my office, for my wife it is 230 I think. Factor in the stupid erp on ecp, actually what is worst is the constant jam on ecp. The time different between public n private is around 20 minutes I can live it I guess

i drive to work if i know i will need the car after work... otherwise, i take public transport... ever since i became desk-bound 5 months ago... things will change in november because my office will move to ORQ and my gf works at capital square... i should be driving her to work everyday so that she can save on cab fare... only question mark now is, where to get season parking for the car...

Your current options :

The Sail @ Marina Bay - $400 p/m, non residents

Marina Bay Link Mall - Enquire

Market Street Carpark - Waitlist

Golden Shoe Carpark - Waitlist

Fullerton Carpark - $430 p/m last known rate

Or you can negotiate a monthly rate with valet companies handling outdoor parking at the surrounding hotels.

I just got into cycling, so my car now takes one day off every week. I am cycling to work once a week to get some exercise. Go work the shorter way and cycle the longer way back.

If this goes on, I will push for 2 or 3 days a week in future.

I used to co share the car with my dad but he has given the responsibility of owning it since then. I do not drive to work as well. Main reason is carpark issues. There are more than 70 people on the waiting list for the season parking. Also, my house is damn near my workplace, only 4 bus stops away from home. Therefore I take public transport to work.
