The gracenote data base is kept in your Comand hard disk.

When you play a song, it will try to retrieve the information from the gracenote data base and display the title of the song, singer/group or whatever information is related to that song.

Recently I bought a Japanese singer Rimi Natsukawa and the Comand was able to display the song titles and singer name in Japanese.

If the song you play is not in the gracenote database, no information will turn up on your display except Track 1, etc.

If I am not wrong, each time you update a new gps map, the gracenote data base is also updated with new data at the same time.

Thanx for the reply. I am just asking with regards to the album image that can be displayed on the ipod/iphone but not all of it can be displayed on my Command.
