W212 E200 CGI - Fog Lights

Anyone knows how the outer pair of fog lights (or whatever it's called) works?

Mine comes with 2 on each side.

The inner pair are the fog lights. Switch is there to turn on/off. straight forward.

The outer pair, seems to be the DRL. I can turn on the DRL feature ON/OFF from the steering wheel via the display in the meter cluster, but never got down to know how the actual lights works.

Any info would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks!!!:becky:

The DRL will light up when headlights/dimmer/spot lights are off.

When you turn ON any of the other lights the DRL will be off.

BTW is uncool to have the DRL in yellow and quite unless.

consider modding it to have it as 4x manual fog lights

Ah, no wonder. I tried it again this morning and it did turn on but rain sets in, dark sky and the main lights turn on, DRL went off. You are right on how "not nice" the yellow looks.

Anyway, will be going to mod it into the straight LED DRL. Just not sure if the wiring is going to be a problem. Tks Bro Apple, for the info!
