Help -Rattling noise undercarriage in W204

Hi All

Pls give advise on my Dec 2007, W204 had this rattling sound under the car engine which the metal cover is hitting the bottom of the car parts.

How to resolve the noise?

Replace the metal cover undercarriage parts? It cost about $400.

Any solutions?

Is there any stockist had "plastic" cover for the under carriage?

Probably u hve hitted something during drivg. Kerb or some boxes dropped fm those heavy vehicles, thus causes yr undercarriage covers insecure or loosed. :shocked:

plastic type wil b ideal. Check w our site sponsors ie: Starblack

or to save, removed it n leave it. :becky:

Hi..

I also have this rattling noise on my 2006 W203 especially when going over those slow down "strips" on the road or over humps.. but still not able to resolve the problem... but have been "tahaning" it for a year.. haha... so far just "irritating" sound.. but no major issue.. Would be good to solve this though...

it seems the problem is due to the inside of my cat converter.. haha.. guess gotta live with the sound... anyways.. i won't hear it when i close the windows..

From what i understand, it seems the inside of my catalytic converter has rusted or something, so when i go thru humps etc, the rattling sound is coming from the cat converter..

what's your opinion, hannson?
