Hi everyone, I'm planning on joining the Merc community and was looking at a used W212 with an AMG Sport Package which is supposed to have a brake upgrade from the stock model. I was wondering if anyone knows what sort of brakes the car is running on? I can't seem to find any info other than larger cross-drilled rotors. Does it mean that the calipers are stock? The guy selling the car couldn't give me an answer. Thanks.

A warm :welcome: to the forum and look forward to see you in our community.

The AMG Sport Package ie. Code 950 comes with front cross drilled rotors & Mercedes logo calipers. Yes! They are the stock brakes with better heat dissipation from the drilled rotors.

If you want to upgrade to AMG BBK they are available from our site sponsor Benzline.

IIRC

Front 6 pots - about $5K

Rear 4 pots - $2K+

Total before installation & braided stainless steel hoses slightly below $8K

Thanks for the info bro. Was under the impression that the car had a BBK till I saw the actual thing, then I wasn't sure.

Yr AMG Sport Package refers to brake caliper with a word Mercedes? Not available in most workshop.

if given a choice, i'd settle for the normal mercedes brakes system.

the one from the AMG sports package is very dirty and dusty. a lot of difference from another car of the same model in avant-garde trim.
