Delivery Schedule for PI E-Coupe?

Guest emerc

Hi Guys,

Am a newbie to this forum so pardon me. I ordered an E Coupe from a PI in mid may and was told it would take 4-5mths for it to be delivered. Obviously I am kan cheong to have it asap or at least have a date i can look forward to.

I was told that they already have the booking number in the UK about 2 weeks back. So am just wondering, from the time they have the booking number...

A) What the process is like after that?

and

B) How long does it typically take for me to take delivery of the car?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Cheers!

Welcome!! I m sure u hv done yr homework before deciding getting from See&See or PI. If u getting from PI u shld get it ex stock instead of on queue. As for taking delivery only yr PI SE will able to advise you. Did you ordered the new FL 7 G or pre FL 5 gear CGI model?

A warm :welcome: to the forum!

1. Your PI car is coming from UK or Hong Kong?

Either country - need to register the car there, send for inspection, de-registered before 15 working days before they can be export to Singapore.

Factor in the handling & freight time!

Once reach Singapore, PI has to pay the tax & register the car.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and thanks for the info.

I ordered the car in mid may but because of some of the add-ons I wanted. They need to take from the queue instead of the existing stock. The car is from UK and was told that the manufactering date was due for Jun/Jul production and hence would be the 2012 model with 7Gtronic. Was just recently told that they have the booking number already, so just wondering what happens after that and roughly how long after should I be able to take delivery.

Btw what is FL?

Ahh icic. They mentioned that the booking number essentially means that they have sourced for the car in the UK and are in the midst of clearing the paper work for it to be shipped to Singapore.

Yup the SE only said that it wil be within the 4/5mths period as promised in the contract. I suspect SE dont wanna overpromise on the delivery time also.

If the production date was due in Jun/Jul - ask your PI SE for your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) aka Chassis number.

Since they have ordered and car has been assembled, they must have the VIN.

With that number, we can help you to check the actual production date and the features that will come with your car.

Sea freight would take about 4 to 6 weeks from UK!

Yes i know exactly what you mean bro. I'm even more excited given that its my first conti car as well.

Hopefully the ride turns out to be the 2012 FL. Cos my production date is kinda around the transitional period. Will be pissed if otherwise cos I specified to them. Cross fingers....

I am pretty sure your car doesnt come direct from UK, like other bro had said, get the VIN Nos , very sure these nos are already avail .

Shipment not out from UK ?

If so, you wont be able to collect the car even by mid Oct.

Enjoy your stay with us ......

Car after assembly in Germany has to be sent to UK dealer.

Dealer has to register the car, send for inspection & deregistered the car and arrange freight to Singapore. Sea freight takes abt 4 to 6 weeks from UK.

Upon reaching S'pore, PI pay taxes & register car in Singapore.

For shorter delivery time, U might wanna consider air freight!
