Thks bro. Reset button is for E grass rite? The black switch knob.

C grass no reset button wor... correct?

Think he's referring to his ML & SL.

There's a reset button in the centre of the instrument cluster sitting between 2 buttons for adjusting cluster illumination.

This button to to reset mileage, reset FC since start & or reset.

As far as recalled, when my battery went kaput in the previous jap ride, the needles in the odometer "danced" a little each time I cranked the engine. It's a very unusual sort of movement compared to a good battery. This is the tell tale sign.

Precaution?

(1) Each time you send your ride for oil change, get a battery test done.

(2) When it's been 2-3 years since the battery gets replaced, it high time to think about replacing! Rather part with that $200-$300 buck than to waste time waiting for tow truck or AA, right?

1) Cluster digital display must be in speedometer mode.

2) Turn key to position 0.

3) Turn key to position 1 and quickly tab on reset button 3 times.

There be a beep sound and you be in the "service menu" showing you battery voltage and other info

I just checked my car battery after car "slept"for 5 hrs.

Reading is at 12.26V.

But hor, u mentioned abt CCA. dats wat we ought to look at, rite?

wat device to use? How to tell the batt is old n cant hold charge?

the tester from challenger or the volt reader (subaru67)???

Volt reader will only show volt, for the challenger one I not sure they still selling, it show battery CCA in 3 percentage (I forgot which 3), hopefully you can still find it.

The one I got is a battery diagnostic device about $1000+.

Hi SGmerc, it took me longer to open and lock the car. Despite having changed my key battery (2032) and there is nothing in my pocket when opening / locking the door. Is this a sign where battery is going flat? Where should I get it check? What should be done here. Thanks
