Hi bros and gurus, I currently drive a W203 and am contemplating to get a used W211 NGT model.

Would appreciate if NGT model owners can share if there are any issues with the NGT model before I take the next step.

Thanks a million in advance!

My issue with it is that the NGT tanks took up a little too much boot space

Otherwise its a great car! Extremely frugal luxury, 1000Km then refuel combined.

Please beware of the PARF rebate though.

In 2006, the LTA gave a 40% rebate on the ARF of all Hybrid vehicles

thus the rebate value when you scrap is severely reduced.

Please double confirm the actual scrap value before you accept an offer.

This is the reason why the NGT models tend to be cheaper

that the standard ones despite having more features.

For the brand new car price then, punters got as low as 138.8K

mechanically, only heard that the fuel switcher sometimes act up

otherwise if a pre FL one, its the same old SBC brake thingy.

hope this helps

Hi Roland, thanks for the information on the 40% thingy. No wonder the W211 NGT is selling for almost same depreciation as my W203.

Will give it serious thought though..

Blackmerc Sir, thanks for the advice too.

I have a NGT... very frugal... for the same distance on fuel vs NGT... on a full tank.. you would be paying slightly less than half on natural gas( CNG)

late 2006 pre fl come with new injectors that are in line with FL models but added advantage of having command system

Depreciation... yes.. you should pay lower price for the car but in this current COE climate.. depreciation would be similar to petrol

Major benefits: fuel saving.. if u use cng always, the difference in savings between cng and petrol can pay your road tax and cover insurance too.. ( assumptiopn of 400km a week).. also you are "greeen" and that helps the environment
