I hope your FL W203 not the same problem as my 2004 W203.

MBM changed engine harness and some sensors - abt $3000.

Told abt 1 in a few has this problem of engine oil getting into the engine harness and messing up the sensors.

Go Starblack for a checkup!

I have consulted my friend's mechanic specialised in merc today. He used his merc diagnostic computer to check and confirm this part - steering angle sensor faulty. It will affect ABS if don't rectify. I have asked him to order the part. The part and labour will cost about $500. I did not know merc part is so expensive. Lucky not major problem like your case. Thanks all for your advise.

You're lucky, I got my wire harness changed on my W203 2 months back, cost me $2k, I send my car straight in when the engine light came out. It was oil leaked into the wire harness, lucky it had not each the sensors yet.

So your problem is faulty esp module. Can share what is the damage? I believe it is so much cheaper than C&C.

Damage 485, is the steering angle sensor fault not ESP module. They show me the fautly part, black plastic box ard 6"x6'"x 1/2" size with some cable connector to plug in.

ok thks, does this workshop service alot of mercs?

standard ws, inside can park 4 cars.

When there last week, saw 1 E240 and 1 S class inside.

While waiting at the ws, ask the mech what he was fixing at the workbench, he told me SBC pump for 1 of the car.

The Boss told me they have major service package for 1K (change EO, ATF, brake, steering oil, coolent, filters and ....)

Also got this issue with my E200K, and turns out to be a brake light switch faulty, replaced at C&C, and cannot claim the warranty.. :(

Basically this part effects the

1) ESP

2) Runflat indicator

3) brake HOLD

4) Cruise control

Cheers...
