W203 dashboard refurbishing

Hi, this originated from a stain from the air freshener liquid. The stain was on the glove compartment door, down the vent. Upon cleaning (too vigorously I guess), it seems the leather is worn off, there seems to be a membrane that's rubbe off. It looks shiny underneath. But now it looks fugly.

Any ideas to refurbish the dashboard?

Is it real leather in the first place? It's a w203 c180ml by the way.

Thanks

Ken

Nothing much u can do abt it, send it groomer for advise. My SE always reminded me not to put air freshener. But I didn't listen, I brought gel type instead of liquid.

Sorry to reply late guys. Thanks for the groomer link, I'll see what they have to offer.

Really stupid, but my incident happened becos someone placed back the freshener upside down after knocking it over. Lol...

My ICE installer has warned me about this many years back.

Keep us updated how well the "repairs" go!

If it's good, this will be helpful to our forum members here.
