Mercedes original parts shop?

Hello all,

I am pretty sure I won't be the first to ask this question, but i'd like to know where i can buy Merc parts in singapore. I work in Batam and i can only shop on saturdays. In particular i'm looking for a door check like this DIY article for replacing the door check.

I think i can DIY the job to save some money, but also in need of replacemetn is my W124 wiper motor. it stalls when the windshield does not have water to wipe off. it's faster on the extension but slow on the return. sort of retarded.

Would new parts be better than buying say a used part from a scrapyard? My ride is a 1991 W124 200E converted to E200 front.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Soon U won't be working there anymore and you will have more time in sinkapor.

I am not sure whether the local spare part shop still stock the door check.

The scrap yard guys will probably ask you to buy the whole door and not just the door check ;D

Used wiper motor you can get it cheaply at the local scrap yard.

They will test it before they sell it to you.

I think it's time for you to start a relationship with the scrap yard guys.......wakakakkaka!

For scrap yard, try Propel. 28 Kranji Road.

Go by SLE, turn off @ the Turf Club and drive straight to Kranji Rd.

They are at the other end of Kranji Road.

The boss name Steven Goi and his assistant Tzer Wei.

Tell him the black 124 with the crazy ICE system Batam owner send you there. ;D

Try coming to our meetups and you might get more tips from fellow W124 owners.

The door check is about $25 and easily replaced. Get get from Tye Soon - Waterloo. The Wiper motor may be repaired.

I had quite a similar wiper problem, the blade will stall in the middle of the windscreen..my fix was a new blade.

I get my brand new parts at Sam Leong Road - shop on the left hand side.

I get my 2nd hand parts at Kranji - propel
