Hi Just to share my experience.

I'm using the AMG brakes got them from MBM cost me a little more then $8k

You will not be able to just fit the brake unit on. Few other things are needed to be changed. Front knuckle being the biggest thing. After the install I realised that the front brake hose and the ABS sensor line were too short and made sure they replaced them. They now fit like a glove.

MB will not void warranty if you "upgrade" to AMG bbk. I had a little squeaking on my right brake sent it to c&c, they did not charge me anything for the rectification.

brake dust is a whole lot more then the normal brakes if your worried.

braking efficiency is definitely a whole lot better tried and tested. Not sure I would recommend the situation which I was forced to test them.

It should be SSBH or stainless steel brake hose!

The place Ah Wong installed his BBK will have the hoses.

Lots of CLS frequent that place!

Benzline also sells SSBH

Is perforated brakes not the AMG.

yeah its not AMG, its just some uprated brakes for the AMG/sports pack... not the actual AMG brakes.

bro demon, just to check with you, the 5mm spring pads for the H&R, where can you get them?

bro, i got them from a shop called Tyrezone in KL who ordered them from a normal MB parts stockists. It seems they just asked for 5mm rear spring pads for W204 and got it.

hmm... any reason why it's installed only at the rear and not the front too? i'm asking because i get faint clicking sounds from the front and after some troubleshooting and greasing, i'm thinking perhaps it could be the spring pads... any insights? thanks, mate... :becky:

err.. from my understanding its the same as the stock w204 brakes, supposedly uprated and comes withe cross-drilled discs only..

If i'm not wrong, there's no interchangeable spring pads for the front of the W204... diagnosing sounds is the worse mate...

hmm... ok then... looks like i'll just have to hope the sounds don't come up often and if they do, grease them... thanks for sharing, bro... cheers...

I'm still very tempted to change to this. Any bros here know where I could get my hands on that for all 4 of them and how much they costs. I know the functionality of these are exactly the same as the normal ones, but the mere printed wordings "Mercedes Benz" may just melt any financial justifications, if you know what I mean. :becky:

Managed to get my hands on a used set of Sports Package (SP) MB calipers (front only) with brake pads n cross-drilled rotors, installed along with a change of brake fluids. No need change master brake pump, calipers similar size. Simply plug n play.

Feedback(s):

- Brake pedals having more free play, spongy feel.

- Braking feels slightly "better" by perhaps 20% (butt feel)

- i feel stock brake pads n rotors bite harder and there is a tendency for passengers to jerk forward. After the retrofitting, not so much of a discomfort caused to the passengers during fast braking.

- SP brakes n 330mm rotors look small on a 17" 5-spooked rims, dun mention if its a 18". Looks different but not as impressive as a 362mm rotors wif AMG calipers.

- replacement orangina SP brake calipers, rotors, pads n pad wires will take away 1.5k from thy piggybank. order time ard 1 mth. (pricing is sourced from a local stockist. subjected to global inflation, currency differences, possible radiation repercussion and etc, without prior sms-ing)

Overall feels happy cos i dun fast n furious so dun need AMG brakes.

Looks different.. got words, got holes, happy liao.. :bounce:
