lifetime warranty for brake unit, but not for software problem. Mine has a SBC warning light. Went to check at both MBM and bt timah caltax, both quoted me straight away $2800, 3 mths warranty and no warranty respectively, without any checking and claim that it is DEFINATELY the whole unit problem, 100% need to changeout. C&C quoted me $3000 with 1 yr warranty for the brake pump, but claim that if whole brake unit is defective, will cover under lifetime warranty. Finally decided to send to C&C since price diff not much, and maybe can claim free warranty some more. But end up, C&C dignosed is software problem and charge me $300+. No issue after that upgrade. Imagine if i'm a robert going to the 1st 2 shop to changeout whole unit at $2800.

Fascinating to learn about SBC software upgrade-ability. I wonder does it still buzz aloud whenever it feels like it, after the update?

unfortunately, the buzz sound remains the same since it is mechanical. I was told by C&C that some of the batches of SBC that were recalled and replaced uses newer design, and the buzz sound is significantly reduced. Too bad mine wasn't recalled.

Well, a bit of an ear-sore but communicative nonetheless - the buzz tells me that the lump of metal is still there to provide power braking!

I am a newbie but I read somewhere that the buzz noise reduced significantly by changing the vacuum hose part no is A000-431-04-77. Where to buy this part, I don't know, maybe the old bird here can recommend.
