btw hows the quality of those assembled in S.Africa? Any diff ? It should just that not sure by how much.

I think only Taxi versions are made in S Africa and India right?

If I am not mistaken I think the newer C class are made in S.Africa or as the above VIN code table.... from they you can tell if yours is S.Africa or Germany.

Initial batch of kompressor equipped W204s imported into SG were German made. Not sure about current batch of CGIs.

East London, South Africa mfrs C Class for RHD markets. This has been ongoing since Year 2000. They currently export LHD W204s to the US as well.

Best to check your #VIN for confirmation.

MB claims QC is similar to GER standards. The W203s have been fairly decent so I think W204 owners will have no qualms.
