Hi Bros,

have some issues with my reverse camera.

Anyone has the same problem?

When im on the reverse gear, the reverse camera will turn on with the rear camera.

Now, it does not have any images, just a blue screen.

Anyone knows what the issue is?

Sigh, its just only 1 and 1/2 years old!!

thanks!

Ken

Is your reverse camera fitted by C&C which is a small boxed up LCD screen next to your rear view mirror.

If it's, go to the C & C outsouced workshop who did the installation.

If I am not wrong, this should be the place.

This is simple problem simply video feed from camera to monitor is loose. I had problem in my B-class as well. Just find access to the rear of the camera and find RCA connection, disconnect and connect it again, I secured that RCA connection with cable tie since I already got this blue screen problems 2 times.

hey Bro,

thanks for the advise.

yes, its the reverse camera fitted by c&c, the small boxed lcd screen

Do we contact C&C first or can i go direct to the outsourced workshop?

Is there any warranty covered on the camera and would they entertain if we go direct?

I hope its not any problems with the camera..

thanks for the advise.

I tried to unscrew the camera and could not find any connection which i can disconnect and reconnect. the camera seems to have a direct cable wiring up to the front.

Would it be the same for the C class too?

If still under warranty better go back to the installer to rectify ... give a call to your SE bah .. he/she should be able to advise.

If warranty over, and it's just RCA connection, I guess many audio shop should be able to disconnect / reconnect.

No need to unscrew the camera just find access to behind it from inside portion of boot lid, it's not single cable all the way to monitor. It has short female RCA from camera and it connected with male RCA all the way to the small monitor in front. This is the connection which keep giving problem.

IMHO

It's much easier for U to go to the shop directly.

They fitted it anyway!

Unless U wanna leave your car at C&C, then C&C drive your car to Tomo-CSE and get it fixed and drive it back. Very long story leh! :becky:

Think it won't take long for them to fix it!

They did "entertained" me before when I was driving W211! :becky:

Bro Norman!

Dun ask me lah! - go ask the pillar lol....hahahaha!

U either go to Tomo-Cse or sent your car to C&C since your car is still under warranty.

Want fast go Tomo lah!

Why bother to play detective work & let "small things" like that irritate U when still under warranty.

Can any bros here post a picture of the "box" ? I'm having it installed in my new ride but really, I've not seen how it looks like. Thanks.

To some owners, this boxed up LCD looks "horrible" & out of place but to some it is fine with them.

Bro Lightning -Pls post pictures of your boxed up LCD RC pls for our Bro here!:hand:

My camera really crazy...

Out of nowhere when im on my way to tomo-cse, the camera came back to LIFE!!!

WTF??

Nevertheless, i went to them and have it fixed.

It seems that the fuse casing broke and it the connection wasn't connecting nicely.

They took out this fuse and directly connected to the other wiring.

Hopefully they have made the fix and should work without any other issues!!

But weird that they are not fitting the fuse back, claiming that the fuse is useless and just comes in the original package, as such, fitted for me initially.

Thanks to kepiting on the contacts and all the bros for the advise!!

btw i just found out that you can now request to connect the reverse cam to your Audio 20 by paying $1600 so you don't have to live with this "horrible" looking boxed up LCD...:hand:

Must pay lah but I m toying with the idea just swap the cable as for the ugly box leave it. Even for replace the Windscreen film won't cost u much depends on the brand. Go & check it out, m not the expert.
