Hi All Merc Lovers

Currently driving a W211 for 6 months already. Regret giving up my W124.

2 fault code detected, can any kind soul out there advise what are these faults all about. Car is under warranty by another third party workshop, but they are not able to determine the fault after last visit.

1. ESP indicator inoperative - What is this???

2. Run Flat indicator inoperative - had checked tyre pressure but still getting this message

Thanks.

Dun regret! Solve the problem & go & enjoy your new ride!

Drop by our site sponsor MBM and let them take a look!

For the Run Flat Indicator Inoperative - U may wanna try restarting your

Tyre Pressure Warning System.

Good Luck Bro!

Taken from the W212

************************************************

Restarting the tyre pressure loss warning system

Restart the tyre pressure loss warning system if you have:

•changed the tyre pressure

•changed the wheels or tyres

•fitted new wheels or tyres

Before restarting, consult the table of tyre pressures on the inside of the fuel filler flap to ensure that the tyre pressure in all four tyres is set correctly for the respective operating conditions.

Observe the notes in the section on tyre pressures

Make sure that the key is in position 2 more in the ignition lock.

In the multifunction display you will see the standard display more.

Press the < or > button to select the Service menu.

Press the ^ or v button to select Tyre pressure.

Press the OK button.

The multifunction display shows the message:

Run Flat Indicator active Restart with OK

The multifunction display shows the message:

Run Flat Indicator restarted

After a teach-in period, the tyre pressure loss warning system will monitor the set tyre pressures of all four tyres.

If you wish to cancel the restart:

Press the Return button.

or

If the Tyre press. now OK? message appears, use ^ or v to select Cancel.

Press the OK button.

The tyre pressure values stored at the last restart will continue to be monitored.

Till date, hv u seek second opinion yet? Better get it resolved.

Bro! U fierce arh! :becky:

U think go bang table, they will send the car to C & C arh?

Wait they send to other workshops try here, try there and cannot fix how?

Think our Bro quite down after spending time to get the problem solved.

Maybe to tell the warranty party that he bring his ride to MBM to solve problem and they bear the charges.

Knowing MBM, dun think they will charge if they cannot solve the problem.

Thanks Bro, the procedure for retarting the tyre monitoring is interesting, I will try after i got the car back, just sent the car to the F... workshop.

I have checked with a few mechanics and read some threads elsewhere, and it seems like the problem is caused by the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor

Have told them about it and wonder if they are replacing the parts.

Cheers.....

Anyway I still enjoy my babe. - 6 secs to 140 haha

No names shall be mentioned to protect the innocent. I am losing confidence in them anyway. A little bit of hint

They sell extended warranty located near LTA... thought they are good and confident.. but in the end just sucks.

Fews months ago send my Peuget 407 to them for top overhaul and after that the car keep stalling, send back them them and they took 1 week to check and come back wiht no problem. Send to them again and took them another week. SHIT..... the car kept stalling. Worst till the first time it stall, it was at a slope and the brake also malfunction, end result crash the back of the car on the wall lor..... :-(

No choice liao, send to agent and took them 5 days to come solve the problem. WOW LAO, I was told that there is a missing part, the timing belt pulley stabliser was MISSING. What the hell are they doing........... just LL lor. Anyway problem is solved now and enjoying my babe2 too.... hehee.

Let pray hard that no missing parts after they touch my babe today.....

Otherwise I think I will go BANG BANG BANG....

Cheers.

Interesting W124 6sec to 140.......

Top speed @ 280km ?

Ok, back to topic,

Buying those extended wty are just any way for the dealer to make you sign on the dotted line.

Your 1st problem - 90% due to the sensor.

2nd problem - You have to get it reset if , tyre punctual, change in size of rim/tyre ect.

Hope this help....

Just curious, are you driving a W211 E320/350 now ?

Recently saw a unit for sale.....
