C180 Engine ECU remap?

kepiting1sg are there other AMG brakes besides C32?

The braking are definitely more effective than stock.

It will take sometime to get use to the brakes cos comparing to the stock brakes,

the braking distance is much shorter.

They are 4 pots calipers.

Someone told me these brakes are actually the S Class brakes

except they painted the calipers with the AMG logo ???

I believe there are compatible brakes from other tuners like Kleemann and also from Brembo

but I believe not at such prices for the C32 brakes. IMHO, it's a steal.

I believe they comes only in silver color with the black amg logo.

IMHO, the AMG front brakes will be good enough but if you want to do your rear brakes and other options,

Kelvin of MBM should be able to give you further technical advice.

why not install the C230 SC?? Flash the ECU to C230!!

install C230 SC can be done at MBM.

How much are the C32AMG brakes? Change brakes have to change to larger rims? Yeah maybe can get group discount for upgrade?

Mod or no mod depends on what U are looking for.

if no, wat is the difference between this and the one C&C is offering..

fyi, this is my first post, as i'm comtempating to get the c180 or the c200. and does C&C does remaps? coz i know Premium Auto does remaps for audi and vw. If so.. i believe the remapping voids the car's engine warranty as it isn't done by C&C?

hi mysteria, unlike PA, i dun think C&C merc offers any remaps or tuning for its models, and even for AMGs, they rarely provide tunings. you might wana search around this forum or perhpas some bros can give you some directions on this this.

actually, i too find C&C lacking in such services. while many would prefer to go aftermarket, some, like me, would prefer to go direct to agents like PA for tuning, more hassle free and usually will not viod warranty, and even better, the performance mods they provide, such as chipping, falls safetly within the limits of your vehicle specs, minmizing the chance of messing up something else, its more of a win-win situation lor.

btw those with kleenman kbox mods, when u go back to C&C, would they still do the servicing etc for u?

i know the very least that the warranty is gone...

I beieve the C & C AMG package is not for perf. mod. but for body kit, wheels only and maybe exhaust.

They do not upgrade the brakes like those you see in the pics.

These AMG brakes are 14" X-drilled rotors with 4 pots caliper and meant for the W203 C32 which is also suitable for the normal now to earth W203 C180 & C200.

C & C do not do remapping and if you get others to do re-mapping, C & C will not void your warranty but if anything will to happen to your engine, they will not honor their warranty on your engine.

I do not know any guys in this forum that have re-mapped their ECU but most will use the Kleemann K-Box to piggy back on the stock ECU.

thanks for the clarification eyke, but i think the guys are referring to perf mods such as forced induction, chipping etc that have a direct impact on the car's power output eg horsepower, torque etc
