Where to Mod SLK350

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, have a SLK350 2009 facelift with the tweaked engine at 306BHP and 360NM from C&C, bought last year in Feb.

Is there a one-stop workshop where i can reliably do tuning and mods i.e. intake, exhaust, ECU, spark plugs, supercharging, suspension, tyres etc. with subsequent servicing. Voiding of warranty is not an issue.

There are several renowned workshops locally for JDM cars like Evo and GTR, but don't know any for Mercs.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

where to mod? Hmm I will mod from top down then from the back.

Brudder, you sebei lucky man cos i've also been researching high & low these 2 months plus (looking around even before car came).

You Might wanna try Renntech http://www.renntechmercedes.com/ to purchase parts fm them & get one of the trusted vendors here to install for you.

Alternatively you can approach MBM which i believe they are agent for Kleemenn http://www.kleemann.dk/Frontpage.aspx

But if you want something different, then try Autospritze for their partner in Germany is a Master Tuner tunning ECU which many VW Golf's GTI has been tuned by them to produce silly HP/Torque output & know a of a Well KNown Jap rest Owner C63 Tuned by them also & he's super impressed after 1 NS run with his friends in their Ferraris 360 & 430. They also sells full range of KW coilovers (Best i've used KW Club Sports & still beats Bilstein PSS/ Sachs far a wide margin)

Read a lot about the SLK 350 but have not seen 1 up close & personal, maybe you can drop by to let me salivate? Promise i'll be careful by not dripping any saliver into your car :becky:

Haha, SLK 350 facelifted is the same to me as any SLK. My wife drives it daily, she's been on this forum for a while, not active, and she's dead against mods.

What kind of gains are we looking at with the MBM, MKB or Renntech? Can hit 400 BHP and 500 NM? I'm not really into aesthetics.

Will try and make it for the Carlsson event, but unfortunately will be driving my JDM car there. I rarely drive the SLK 350 these days. U probably won't be too excited with a JDM car unless you are into Fast and Furious cars.

Then again it's quite puzzling, you started asking if there's any MODDING place to do the whole shabang then replied saying it's your wife daily driver & she's dead set against modding it & still go on asking :-

welcome in........306hp and 360Nm very fast already (no need to mod) or maybe just do a pulley upgrade followed by an ECU tune......then upgrade to KW v3 coilover or Club Sports..

Apologies if i didn't clarify, my wife is dead set against mods, but i own the car hehe...

Yes i do wanna mod it. Thanks for the tips bro. When i'm free i'll drive it down to one of the tuners. SLK350 will just disappear for a while... Hehe... I'm tuning my JDM rides for high HP and high torque in any case, like 600 HP and 800 NM for 1 of 'em...

I'll try and convince her to go for Carlsson event.

What ails me really is that local tuning scene for Mercs ain't so vibrant. No master tuners trained in Japan like Garage R, ST Power, Maximus Racing etc. These guys i suspect live in Germany and on the Autobahn. Gotta go Germany to find the 2L SLK which is putting out 400 HP and 500 NM on the 20 inch rear wheels.

I had contemplated ditching the SLK350 for the currently being phased out 350Z cabriolet, cos with the HKS supercharger slapped on with HKS racing suction and Legamax exhaust, and ECU reflashed, that would be some crazy V6 putting out 400+ HP and 500+ NM and tail gating a Carrera S for a long while... Nevertheless, we'll stick with the SLK350... Mercs is a Mercs after all...
