Guys, how u explain 250 torque at 1600 - 4200. Pls advise.

Guess it means the engine has a very flat and stable torque curve i.e it produces a constant torque of 250Nm from 1600rpm through to 4200rpm. Most engines will peak at a certain rpm and not be able to maintain the same torque when rpm rises further.

Basically means the car has a peak of 250 pounds-feet of torque from 1600rpm to 4000rpm. Torque is defined as the twisting force that turns any given vehicle's crankshaft.

In lay terms, 250 pounds-feet of torque@1600rpm means your car will readily push itself off from a standstill quite nicely.

Depends, Torque is good for Drag or to make heady starts but if HP isn't too shabby then once torque have given momentum, then car would be able to zoom into the Horizon effortlessly :becky:
