Engine mount worn

brought my 05 e240 to c&c for their free used-car check up and was told the engine mount is worn. they quoted me $1000 for its replacement. i haven't noticed much vibration from the engine bay unless i accelerate hard.

so what do you think? should i wait or change and if change, would it be cheaper to do it elsewhere?

Mine was replaced under warranty just before the end of the 3rd year. Same special German tech inspection clinic.

Anyway, engine mounts will be worn over time, like tyres. Change when needed.

it is common for engine mounts to get worn out after 4-5 years. Vibration is the most obvious signs. My old honda city had engine mounts replacement as well, damage was around $400-$500.
